Whether you are a beginner social dancer or an advanced competitor, the Ballroom Academy has the program to fit your needs. The Ballroom Academy offers Privates, Groups, and Practice Parties and recommends participating in all three in order to become a fully accomplished ballroom & latin dancer. Private lessons range from $65 to $75 per session depending on the type of program. The number of private hours a student may need depends on the student's goals and the type of program chosen. Private lessons provide an excellent way to improve your dancing because the focus is given to the fine details and the technical elements of your dancing. Students progress at a much faster rate with privates because the session focuses on your needs only.
Group classes are $15 per person per class and must be purchased on a monthly basis. The charge for trying out one class is $20 per person. Groups are a great way to meet people and improve your partnering concepts. The class has one instructor and about five to ten students giving everyone an opportunity to dance with one another in a social environment. These classes can range from a beginner level to an advanced technical level.
Workshops are $20 per person per class and must be purchased on a monthly basis. The charge for trying out one workshop is $25 per person. Workshops are a little bit longer than the group classes. The environment is the same as the group classes, but the material covered in the workshop is a little more intense. These classes encompass all facets of the dance(s) being taught including general dance theory. Partnering, styling, technical elements, musicality and step variations are covered as well. Although workshops are longer and more intense, dancers of all levels can benefit a great deal as well as beginners.
The SP parties are $10 per person. These parties are designed for the student to practice the steps they have learned in the privates and group classes. The parties provide an excellent way to meet the other students of the school that are at their caliber and give the student the opportunity to practice their dancing in a club setting. The parties are supervised by the teachers and students are welcomed to ask any questions they may have about their dancing. These parties are closed to the students of the academy.
The TP parties are $15 - $25 per person, depending on the theme. These parties are usually 4 hours long and are always full of excitement throughout the evening. In addition to general dancing, the Ballroom Academy's dance showcase proves to be the highlight of the evening. Light hors d'ouvres and other refreshments are served as well as raffles and prizes. The theme parties are open to the public and professional dance instructors are welcomed by invitation only.
These courses are designed for the beginner dancer who wants to develop a strong foundation in a few of the popular dances. The courses include privates, groups, and parties. Emphasis is based on movement throughout the floor as well as providing a solid understanding of the techniques needed for dancing with comfort and ease with any partner. A student completing this course will be a confident dancer and one who is fun to dance with. You will be gliding through the floor on your first lesson! No Joke.
These courses are an extension of the Foundation Courses and are designed to meet the student's individualized goals. Once a long term goal is determined on the Foundation Course, the instructor will be in a better position to make an assessment on the type of renewal program that will best suit the student's needs. The level of technique taught in these courses depends on the level of the student and the student's ability to retain the material shown. There are no restrictions. This course will create a dancer that is versatile in many dances and is able to lead or follow confidently and with precision.
This course is for the student who wants to pursue a more aggressive goal and who wants to develop an extremely strong foundation in social dancing through competitive level dancing. This course is for all levels of dancers including beginners.

These courses offer the wedding couple an excellent opportunity to learn the first dance of their lives together. From basic steps to a dramatic choreography to their chosen song, this course also gives the couple a solid understanding of the popular dances so that they are able to dance socially at their wedding, together and with their guests.
Parents and the bridal parties are also encouraged to come in and join the fun. These courses are packaged with privates, groups, and parties so the wedding couple can acquire a strong foundation in social dancing as well as preparing for their first dance.
